The Safe Pass Health and Safety Awareness programme is a one-day training course designed for people working on construction sites, including apprentices and trainees. Its purpose is to provide participants with a basic understanding of health and safety practices and to make them aware of the potential hazards that exist on construction sites.

Safe Pass Course Details

Outline:  The SOLAS Safe Pass programme is a one-day health and safety awareness training course designed for people working in the construction sector in Ireland.

Aim: The Safe Pass programme aims to ensure that all construction workers have a basic knowledge of health and safety so they can work safely and avoid accidents on site. It is a legal requirement for most people working on construction sites in Ireland, including general operatives, craft workers, and apprentices.

Assessment –End of day test

Duration – 1 day course in person

Certification –SOLAS accredited -Safe Pass card valid for 4 years

Content 
The SOLAS Safe Pass Programme has a duration of 1 day and consists of 13 learning units as follows:-

  • Legislation and Site Safety

  • Introduction to Risk Assessment

  • Risk Assessment for Electricity
